Kantaa hyvin syvässäkin pakkaslumessa ja kärki pysyy pinnalla puuterissa (hiihtäjä 77 kg). Suomupohjan pito ei yksistään riitä ahkion vetämiseen ylämäessä pehmeällä hangella mutta pelkkää hiihtäjää se palvelee riittävän hyvin. Lisäämällä nousukarvat toimii luonnollisesti jyrkemmässäkin mäessä.
